The passion for motor sports has made Barcelona a unique case in the world. The city has been the scene of two Grand Prix circuits for its streets: Pedralbes, at the top of the Diagonal avenue, and Montjuïc, a route drawn in the magical mountain park. No other city in the world can boast of having had two different urban circuits that have hosted the Formula 1 World Championship, a tradition which continues today at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. All this has been the result of a long tradition sports, industrial, organizing…
It has been the result of contributions from many entities and individuals. Like Paco Godia, who competed in the World Championship races at Pedralbes and ended his sporting career with a spectacular victory at Montjuïc. The figure of Godia is one of the main threads of this story, which wants to record the (circuit) motor sport activity in Barcelona, in the context of the time.
