El Museu Olímpic i de l’Esport Joan Antoni Samaranch has held aNostalgic Cinema Session about futbol.

With the screening of the film “Kubala, los ases buscan la paz” the Cinema and TV Sport Festival of Barcelona, the BCN Sports Film Festival -that will be taking place from may 17th to may 21st in the city of Barcelona- has wanted to pay tribute to one of the best players in the history of F.C. Barcelona.

The World Harmony Run, after visiting 100 countries, 6 continents and have traveled over 50,000 kilometers, arrives in Barcelona. They are th eones making a constant step towards a better world.

Rafael Nadal, winner of the first ‘Premi Internacional Joan Antoni Samaranch’

The most successful Spanish player of all time, Rafael Nadal, has been awarded the first edition of “Premi Internacional Juan Antonio Samaranch”, which has been presented this afternoon at the Museu Olímpic i de l’Esport Joan Antoni Samaranch.

Albert Soler, the new Secretary of State for Sport, appears at a press conference at the Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sport Museum.

Albert Soler took advantage of his visit to Barcelona to speak to the press. He first expressed his thanks for the support received from the Catalan capital, while also confirming that the new Director-General for Sport at the CSD, the position which he himself previously held, will be Matilde García Duarte.

Xavier Camino presents the project awarded the Ernest Lluch Foundation and Barcelona Olympic Foundation 2010 Bursary

Xavier Camino, a member of the GISEAFE (Social and Educational Research in Physical Activity and Sport Group) was awarded the Ernest Lluch and Barcelona Olympic Foundation 2010 Bursary. His project, ‘Skateboarding, City and Sport- Barcelona 1975 -2010’ was presented at the Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sport Museum.

 

More than 2100 people complete the 2011 Olympic Walk route

The 2011 Olympic Walk, organised by the Barcelona District Ramblers’ Association, the Barcelona Sports Institute and the Barcelona Olympic Foundation, registered a considerable increase in the number of walkers taking part.
